Artist & Layout Designers

We are Brown and RISD students who are interested in exploring modes of visually representing the intersections of science, technology and society. We combine our skills in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and traditional art media to publish the semesterly Triple Helix magazine. 

We work in pairs composed of one layout designer and one artist. Over the semester, each pair is responsible for two to four spreads. They will formulate the concept, create the visuals, work with writers to design infographics, and finally piece together the components into the final product. Layout designers are expected be proficient in InDesign; additional experience in Illustrator, Photoshop, or any relevant software is a plus. Artists often work in traditional media such as pencil, watercolor, ink or pastel, but may also create digital works.
