Blog Editor
Editing is a conversation, an exchange of ideas and thoughts, between the writer and editor. We are looking for blog editors who are efficient, communicative, and detail-oriented. Editors must have a strong grasp of English grammar and a strong dislike of typos. We want editors of varied backgrounds, styles, and senses of humor. Ideally, editors will edit at least two drafts of each piece. Editors may work with more than one writer at a time.
The blog editors work with the blog writers to prepare their blog articles for posting. Editors are not responsible for fact-checking but play an integral role in guiding piece organization and asking for clarification of content. Given the fast turn-over involved with web publication, blog editors generally edit for one cycle's worth of review. A enthusiasm for multiple fields in science and society is helpful. |
